Bidder requests, clarification requests and the Purchaser(s) replies are listed below:

 1.  Question from Bidder:
Just confirming you want to remove the air bags and HD insulation package from the cab interior?

Answer from Purchaser:
The RFP does not state a deletion of these items.

2. Clarification from Purchaser:

·         Central Pierce Fire and Rescue requests that bidders include in their proposals any currently available firefighter safety systems, including air bag occupant protection systems. Proposal to be listed as option on bid document.
·         Central Pierce Fire and Rescue requests that bidders include maximum cab sound/thermal insulation packages in their proposals.   Proposal to be listed as option on bid document.

 3.  Clarifying the check boxes for Exceptions:

The question below was asked on clarifying the check boxes for Exception, “Yes” or “No”, as what it is referring too.

Question asked
In each line item where a bidder is required to check “yes” or “no” as noted below, does this mean if the bidder is complying with the item/page-is the bidder to check “no” if they are taking no exception or clarification, or are they to check “yes” if they are complying with the item?
 Exception:   Yes_______ No:___ _
In other words, with the above, if we are providing “exactly” what the spec is requesting, we would check “no”  as in, “we’re not taking exception”.   Is this correct?

Answer:   If you mark the box  for “No”, you are not taking exception to that line item Specification that is adjacent to the line item specification. If you check the “Yes” box, you are indicating that you are taking exception to that line item Specification that is adjacent to the line item specification .
